Moonlit Melody
It's late at night and the moon is singing sonorous tunes of whispered dreams through my mind. There is a subtle rhythm to the dark. It can't be heard or seen but thinking of you I feel it. Everything is shadows without light. Still somehow there is radiance coming from your sleeping form. The moon with its crescent glow is pale until it hits the curve of your cheek then like a bottle full of fire flies my soul lights up. My heart fills with watery memories rippling from youthful summers and star laden kisses. As the lunar lullaby soothes my eyes my heart dreams and the silent moments before sleep create tangible visions of our love. All those passionate dreams come true under the watchful eye of constellations named and unnamed are the lucid moments of our past relived. All this from the tender glow of your skin in the shadows of night. So as the moonlit melody brings promise of dreams, I sleep well knowing that your light will shine all the brighter with the rising Sun and the assurance of a more indelible life shared with you.

to be me once again
I once had a poets soul. I once had words falling from my mind in clipped phrases of beauty that sounded sweetly on the ear. My heart heard different tunes and played back the melodies of living words. I once breathed life into stories of love. Today I wring rote trite from a mind scarcely stimulated and rarely roused.
I want the bard. I want the wanderer. I want the soul of the poet that once gave me grace. I want to be me once again.

Love is ageless.
Love is ageless. It begins smooth skinned exciting. Embraces, create a quickened pulse, kisses, create shortness of breath. Fine while our bodies are young, strong and durable. Then love teaches, grows. We learn control and begin to see what love can build. We see beyond the self and see that love is not "I" but "we". We begin to understand but not fully. So we unite in love. Our love grows and creates more love. At last our bodies are aged, fragile and weak. Our love is strong, durable and unchanged. At last we are comfortable and our love carries us. We see from the end of our bodies the ageless nature of love as it transition from passion, to power, to peace and ends in purity.
